Icons in the Content Tree

As you navigate through the Content Tree you will recognize that each item is represented by a different icon.  

This icon represents what template the item is utilizing in the Catalog/Handbook and is present within the Content Tree to be a visual aid and guide.

Each item will have specific fields to display the content on the live Catalog pages.

Institution

This is for administrator access only and contains the links to current/archived catalogs. Otherwise known as the "All Catalogs" page.
Calendar Item
Calendar Item
This item will be labeled with the year and be the parent item for the catalogs within that year. After each rollover is performed, there will be a new calendar year of catalogs to edit.  These accumulate with catalogs every time a rollover is performed. No content is populated except the title.
Catalog/Handbook Cover Item
Catalog/Handbook Cover
Each catalog or handbook begins with a cover page.  Only administrators can access this cover page for editing.  This is the landing page for each catalog.
Content Section/Narrative Item

These items contain the Narrative or Non-Academic content of the catalog/handbook. 
Division/Department Item
Division/Department Item
This acts as the parent of programs/departments.  There can be more than one and it is usually used to organize programs by department.  This template needs to be in place to contain the degree items. It has the same fields as a Content Section.
Degree Item

This item is the title page of each degree within the catalog. This template is required for the Degree Requirements Folder and Requirements List to display the program/course content successfully on the live catalog pages.
Certificate Item
Certificate Item
This item is the title page of each certificate within the catalog. This template is required for the Degree Requirements Folder and Requirements List to display the program/course content successfully on the live catalog pages. This item is similar to the degree title item and is different only as a visual aid within the Content Tree.
Minor Item

This item is the title page of each minor within the catalog. This template is required for the Degree Requirements Folder and Requirements List to display the program/course content successfully on the live catalog pages. This item is similar to the degree title item and is different only as a visual aid within the Content Tree.
Narrative with Course Table Item
Narrative with Course Table
This can be used to hold Narrative content throughout the catalog, but also has the ability to hold a Degree Requirements Folder and Requirements List. This enables non-program related sections to hold a course table when needed. Examples of this are General Education Requirements or Liberal Arts Courses. These can live anywhere regular narrative content is located.   
Degree Requirement Folder Item
Degree Requirements Item
This item will always be contained within a Degree, Certificate, Minor or Narrative with Course Table item. It will not function outside of these template types. This folder is the hinge between the degree title items and the Requirement Lists and needs to be in place for the degree to display successfully as a whole.
Requirements List Item

The Requirement List is a course table within a program.  This item will hold the courses that need to display for each table within a program.  This item will not function outside of the Degree Requirments folder. 
Course Folder Item

These folders hold and organize the courses within the catalog. It can be important that these are named correctly when importing courses from a SIS.

These represent courses within the catalog.  This is where course information is updated throughout the catalog.
